Manon of the Spring - Regenerative Pork Lard is made using 100% dry-rendered back fat & leaf lard from Markegard Family Pasture-Raised Pigs. Our pork lard is slow-cooked in small batches to ensure the highest quality and flavor.

Pasture-Raised Pork Lard is a robust fat that is great for use as an everyday cooking oil and shortening. Unlike most vegetable oils, which shouldn't be used for high-heat cooking, lard won't oxidize at high temperatures. It has a high smoke point of 375 °F, which means you can safely use it for frying, sautéing, and baking. As a replacement for butter, it provides flakiness to pastry.

Our pork lard is packaged in a reusable glass jar which can be kept at room temperature for up to 6 months or refrigerated for up to a year or longer.
