Start with our pasture-raised meat, and you are almost guaranteed a juicy, succulent burger. Blue cheese adds piquancy, but just leave it out if your kids won't eat blue cheese, however small it's crumbled.
YIELD: 6 ea, 6 oz Burgers
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOKING TIME: 10 minutes
2 lb Ground Beef
4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
½ yellow onion, finely diced
1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
½ tablespoon garlic powder
½ tablespoon onion powder
½ tablespoon kosher salt
½ tablespoon black pepper, ground
Saute the onions on medium heat until slightly brown around the edges
Add the garlic and stir for a further minute. Remove from the heat
Once cool, add to a large mixing bowl with all of the other ingredients and combine until fully incorporated
Marinate overnight or form your meatballs right now
Form 6oz burgers, about 3/4" thick
Sear on high heat for about 3 minutes per side for medium-rare beef
The beef will be cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit
I recommend tasting your first burger for seasoning prior to cooking all of the mixture
These cheeseburgers can be cooked on a grill, as well
